Dome Ventilation and Air Conditioner

This article is to share with you about ventilation solution for the geodesic domes. It's easy to feel stuffy in a dome space when it comes to hot seasons, and a good ventilation is the ultimate solution. We want to share with you the specific solutions based on our professional technical team's suggestion and the actual experience from our clients throughout the world especially in tropical area.
A/C
Air conditioning is no doubt the best solution for both ventilation and cooling if we put aside the power consumption and eco-friendly consideration. For any size dwell dome from 6m to 8m we recommend one air conditioner of 1.5HP-2HP, or more ideal-3HP. Usually the room temperature would drop down significantly in 10-15 minutes with the extractor fan working at the same time.

Solar Extractor Fan
The solar extractor fan works automatically by solar power at daytime, and it also can work by electricity anytime of the day. The solar extractor fan is almost a must because it can keep circulating the air so to keep the indoor air fresh. but when the temperature is too high in summer A/C is still necessary, because the extractor fan is mainly used to circulate the air and keep the indoor air fresh, but not much in cooling.
Windows
Windows as passive ventilation, although not as efficient as active ventilation,
openable windows are still very important. Make sure having at least 2 windows for natural air flow.
We have round glass window and PVC roll-up window for options. Considering convenience and sppearance we would recommend 2x round glass windows. If you consider privacy then roll-up window.
Ceiling Fan
Ceiling fan is just to circulate the air inside the room, not much for air circulation.
